Supporting education
We strengthen communities' capacity to offer basic education and increase literacy at all stages of learning.
More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate — that is 17 percent of the world's adult population.
Rotary works to strengthen the capacity of communities to provide basic education and literacy, to reduce gender disparity in education, and to increase adult literacy. In Kenya, Rotary clubs work with the Global Partnership for Education to strengthen educational systems.
