Our programs

Rotaract clubs bring together people aged 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.

In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. Rotaract members decide how to organise and run their clubs, manage their own funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects. Rotary club sponsors offer guidance and support and work with the club as partners in service.

In EldoretThere are three Rotaract clubs in and around Eldoret: Rotaract Club of Eldoret, Rotaract Club of Moi University – Annex, and Rotaract Club of CUEA Gabba.

Interact clubs bring together young people aged 12 to 18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.

The programme shows secondary school students that serious leadership can be seriously fun. Interact clubs organise at least two projects every year: one that helps their school or community, and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

In EldoretThe Interact Club of Nova Pioneer Eldoret – Boys brings the programme to secondary school students here in Eldoret.

RYLA is a leadership development program for young people who want to learn new skills, build their confidence, and have fun.

RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organised by Rotary clubs and districts, where Rotary helps students hone their leadership potential while making connections. Events include presentations, activities and workshops covering a wide range of topics.

Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time. Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens.

Exchanges for students aged 15 to 19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries. Long-term exchanges last a full academic year, with students attending local schools and living with multiple host families. Short-term exchanges last from several days to three months and are often structured as camps, tours or homestays during school holidays.

Each year, Rotary selects up to 130 professionals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at Rotary Peace Centers.

Peace fellows study at leading universities, building the skills to prevent and mediate conflict. Since 2002 The Rotary Foundation has trained more than 1,900 fellows, many of whom go on to lead peacebuilding work internationally.

Finding community solutions to community challenges, Rotary Community Corps unites Rotary members with non-members to make a positive difference.

A Rotary Community Corps is a team of non-Rotarians who share our commitment to service. Sponsored by a Rotary club, corps members plan and carry out projects in their own communities — an excellent route to involvement for people who want to serve without joining a club.

Rotary invests more than $7 million a year in future leaders and philanthropists by funding scholarships for undergraduate and graduate study.

Clubs and districts award scholarships for study at home and abroad. Our own club runs a scholarship programme identifying and supporting needy children here in Uasin Gishu by sponsoring their education.

Our clubs receive funding to support humanitarian projects, scholarships, and international exchanges.

District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities addressing needs in the local community and abroad. Global grants support larger international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary's areas of focus, including humanitarian projects, graduate scholarships and vocational training teams. Disaster response grants support relief in areas affected by natural disasters.
